Women's Basketball. Community. Culture.

who we are

We are St. Louis' growing community for women's basketball culture, building safe watching spaces for Black women and allies, media coverage of local talent, and cultivating a more visible pipeline for girls and women's hoops.

how it started

From One Championship Watch Party to a Growing Community

STL Watches WBB launched with a community watch party for the 2024 WNBA Finals at Harvey's Cocktails & Coffee. What began as a gathering of fans has grown into an effort to create spaces where women's basketball is celebrated, documented, and experienced together.

wnba season thirty is here!

From the legends and vets to the new wave all-stars and rookies, STL Watches WBB is celebrating all of the history makers that shape the game.

Our next watch party is happening Saturday, June 20th at Tropical Liqueurs, located in The Grove. Tip-off is at noon, and food is available to order from the kitchen starting at 1pm. Bring your friends and family to catch this rivalry matchup!

ABOUT THE SERIES

Our March pop-up watch party series brought high-energy Women’s March Madness viewing experiences to venues across St. Louis. Each event is a community-driven gathering built around basketball, community, and local engagement.

Through the series, we helped venues attract new customers, create repeat traffic, and tap into the explosive momentum around women’s hoops.

what’s next

Growing Women's Basketball Culture in St. Louis

We're expanding our efforts through new programs and projects designed to connect fans more deeply to the game.

  • Group outings, road trips, and game-day experiences at the high school, college, semi-pro, and professional levels.

  • An ongoing storytelling initiative preserving the history, people, programs, and moments that have shaped women's basketball in St. Louis.

  • We support the growth of girls' basketball by amplifying local talent, celebrating youth athletes, and creating opportunities to explore the next stages of their basketball journeys.

We provide light local coverage and photography of high school and college programs to spotlight the talent growing right here in our city. Coverage may include game-day photography, social highlights, recap posts, and website features.
